Sea Shore Refugees.

The blanket of snow and frozen ground has forced several species of bird that are usually more associated with open farmland and uplands down to the sea shore. Starvation makes them more approachable although i hid in a hedge on the parrog to get most of these shots as I did not want to disturb them.

Fran counted at least 18 Bar Tailed Godwit's (above) in one group, quite exceptional for this site!
